Frozen flow

A limiting case of flow of a mixture of chemically reacting gases, when the reaction rates are so low that the composition of the mixture at every point in the medium is completely determined by the mass fluxes (convective and diffusion) of the various components.
Comment. A boundary layer that has the properties of a frozen flow is called "frozen boundary layer."
