Temperature ratio parameter

The ratio of the absolute temperature at the surface of a body (or at a wall Tw) to either the characteristic absolute flow temperature (TΠ) or to the adiabatic wall temperature (Taw):

Comment. The characteristic flow temperature, in the case of external flow past a body, is usually taken as the temperature in the outer flow, and, in the case of flow in a pipe, the average bulk temperature of the gas in the given section.
