Condensation

Change of a fluid from the gas (vapor) state to the liquid or solid state.
Comments. 1. Condensation to the solid state is called "desublimation."
2. A distinction is made between condensation within a bulk of a vapor or vapor-gas mixture and condensation on the surface of a solid (or liquid) with which the vapor (vapor-gas mixture) is in contact.
