Emittance [Degree of blackness]
The ratio of the emitted radiation of a body (medium) to the flux of black radiation at the same temperature.
Comment. We distinguish between "spectral emittance," corresponding to the given wavelength (frequency), and "total emittance," corresponding to the entire frequency spectrum or to a finite interval of the spectrum.
