Heat exchanger

A device in which heat is exchanged between two or more heat-transfer agents or between heat-transfer agents and solids (a wall, a nozzle).
Comment. The role of the heat-transfer agents and solids taking part in heat exchange can also be played by the medium surrounding the device.
