Geothermal Energy

When geothermal heat harnessed and converted into usable energy it is commonly known as geothermal energy. However, this term can also mean geothermal heat. Geothermal energy belongs to renewable energy sources (RES) and is considered the most environmentally friendly type of energy since its generation does not lead to the emission of greenhouse gases as well as does not require large areas of land [1]. Geothermal energy can be used for various purposes including generating electricity, heating and cooling of buildings, and provide hot water.
